About The Position

This position performs maintenance duties and assists in sanitation control. The role involves assisting with or repairing any damage to Tribal buildings as needed, performing lawn maintenance and upkeep on Nation grounds, and assisting in minor construction repairs regarding fencing, buildings, and walkways. Seasonal upkeep and maintenance tasks such as snow removal, ice preventative measures, leaf removal, flower planting, and ground watering are also part of the responsibilities. The position maintains the Prairie People's Park and Tribal buildings and assists in preparation for upcoming events. A key component of this role is participation in a skilled trade apprenticeship during the mowing off-season, focusing on one of the following trades: Electrical, Commercial HVAC, or Plumbing.

Requirements

Valid driver's license free of occupational restrictions.
Must be insurable with the Nation's insurance carrier.
1-2 years of applicable lawn, horticulture/gardening, or groundskeeping experience.
Strong interest in self-development and desire to learn chosen trade.
A high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Performs maintenance duties and assists in sanitation control.
