About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repairs, and landscaping tasks, while maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Individual must be able to drive a forklift.
  • Must be able to successfully pass Non-DOT MVR

  • Individual must have a basic mechanical knowledge and basic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Daily inspection of all above ground tanks and containment areas.
  • Inspection of all the electrical transformers.
  • Draining of all containment tanks.
  • Collection of water samples to comply with our NPDS permits.
  • Clean and pickup of any spills around the Facilities.
  • Proper upkeep of the storm water ponds and storm water streams.
  • Collection of chemical totes and barrels for proper disposal.
  • Collection and proper disposal of Universal Waste.
  • Collection and proper disposal of aerosol cans.
  • Collection and proper disposal of Hazardous Waste.
  • Individual will be required to take different water samples, using the Local and Federal Standards.
  • Daily inspection of the wash bay.
  • Maintain a daily log of the chemicals use in the wash bay.
  • Report chemical inventory to the chemical company on a weekly basis.
  • Fix and maintain the hoses in the wash bay.
  • Daily monitoring of the diesel usage.
  • Daily report of diesel usage to Corporate.
  • Snow and ice removal inside the complex and outside locations.
  • When needed, spray of salt at the chicken farms.
  • Collection of trash and inspections at various locations including fuel Bay, fuel Basin, Truck Shop front, RVAF basin, RVAF Maintenance, Pallet Storage, Truck Parking, Open Dumpsters, Truck Shop Rear, RVAF Hill, Storm Drains, Dock #19, Sonova Basin, Shipping & Receiving Lot, Energy Front, Energy Rear, RVAF Drain Ditch, Plant Maintenance, Live Hang, Universal Waste Building, Drums & Totes Storage, Used Oil, Fan House, Pump #1 (by the fan house), Pump #2 (by the RVAF scale), RVAF Raw Dock, Wash Bay, Trailer Parking, Front Drive, Trash Alley, Horseshoe Parking Area and the Main Parking Area at the Complex.
  • Collection of trash and inspections at the Entrance, Drive, Scales, Employee Parking, Load Out, Receiving Dock, Tank Farm, Receiving, Fuel Storage, Dumpster, Trailer Parking and Front Lawn of the Fee Mill.
  • Collection of trash and inspections at the Dumpster, Offal Tank, Receiving Dock, Fuel Storage, Egg Shipping & Receiving, Propane Tank, Back Lawn, Front Lawn and Employee Parking of the Hatchery.
  • Pickup and maintain all the flower beds and islands of the Complex.
  • When a DOT accident occurs, the TM may be required to attend the site to help and guide with the proper cleanup of the accident.
  • Must be able to work outside year round in all weather conditions.
  • Requires a lot of walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Individual must have a basic mechanical knowledge and basic tools.
  • Individual will be required to take different water samples, using the Local and Federal Standards.
  • Team Member will also do some tree pruning, landscaping, and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing complete building & facility remodeling to include painting, repair, and other duties assigned.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Manager
