About The Position
This is a full-time position responsible for maintaining lawns, planting and trimming flowers and shrubs, assisting with sprinkler systems and groundskeeping equipment maintenance, and potentially applying chemicals. The role also involves snow removal and may include leading other groundskeepers. The work requires significant physical exertion and involves working with hazardous chemicals and around operating machinery.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and automotive equipment.
- Must have (or be able to get) a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- 3 years of experience in landscaping and grounds care.
- 1 year of experience using pesticides/herbicides.
- 1 year of experience with irrigation systems.
- A Utah Pesticide Applicator's license. (If the selected applicant does not have this license, they will be expected to earn one within 6 months of hire.)
- Reside within 50 miles or 1 hour travel time to our location.
Responsibilities
- Mow, rake, water, and fertilize lawns.
- Plant, transplant, water, fertilize, and trim flowers and shrubs.
- Assist with general maintenance of sprinkler systems.
- Assist with preventative maintenance of lawnmowers, snow blowers, and other small groundskeeping equipment.
- May apply herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers, and other chemical compounds.
- Lead other groundskeepers in functional supervisory roles.
- Remove snow.
