About The Position

The Groundskeeper I is responsible for maintaining lawns, general landscaping, and ensuring that roadways, parking lots, and walkways are clear to meet the institution's groundskeeping standards. This role involves basic grounds maintenance and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently outdoors in various weather conditions. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to effectively communicate to be able to perform job duties
• Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field
• Valid Driver's License in good standing

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field
• Knowledge of the use of push mowers, riding lawn mowers, weed eaters
• Ability to operate push mowers, riding lawn mowers, weed eater
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and to prioritize assignments
• Ability to perform repetitive manual work
• Ability to do required lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
