About The Position

Requirements

• Six months of related experience is required
• Must be able to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Class C Texas driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Maintaining city parks, corridors and/or athletic fields
• Performing assigned tasks such as mowing, edging and working in flower beds
• Handling turf maintenance and athletic field preparation
• Picking up litter and cleaning restrooms
• Performing general repairs and basic maintenance of parks structures
• Assisting with irrigation system maintenance and chemical application
• Operating various types of equipment, e.g. walk-behind mowers, riding mowers, tractors, ATVs, backpack blowers, string trimmers and edgers
