About The Position

The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) is seeking a Groundskeeper I to join their Playland Grounds Maintenance team. This role is responsible for ensuring all areas of the Playland site, including public-access locations in buildings and rides, are maintained in a clean and debris-free manner. The Groundskeeper I will support the Grounds Maintenance team in upholding site cleanliness standards and contributing to the PNE's mission of delivering memorable experiences.

Requirements

• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
• Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to permit the performance of assigned tasks.
• Successful candidates must undergo a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Removes debris in active ride areas, adhering to established lock-out procedures.
• Cleans ride units, tables, waste receptacles, building structures and related equipment.
• Completes before and after season clean-up of both the Playland site and related Grounds Maintenance equipment.
• Operate handheld equipment and tools as required, including electric leaf blowers, wet/dry vacuums, and other related maintenance equipment.
• Adheres to PNE policies and guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as required.
