About The Position

Participates in grounds maintenance activities including mowing, edging, string
trimming, weeding, pruning and mulching with hand and/or power equipment.

Installs and removes plant material, i.e. flowers, groundcovers, shrubs, trees,
grasses as needed to amend campus landscaping.

Participates in litter and debris collection programs including emptying trash
receptacles and replacing plastic liners.

Operates State Vehicle

Participates in preventative maintenance program on departmental equipment.

Performs other related work as assigned

Requirements

• Completion of the 9th Grade Education.
• Employee must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License.
• This position requires a criminal background check and post offer Health Assessment and Hearing Evaluation.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of grounds keeping techniques
• Skill in using lawn mowers, tree trimmers & cutters and other garden tools
• Ability to maintain lawns and grounds
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• GI-BMP Certification
