About The Position

This position participates in grounds maintenance activities including mowing, edging, string trimming, weeding, pruning, and mulching with hand and/or power equipment. The role involves installing and removing plant material such as flowers, groundcovers, shrubs, trees, and grasses to amend campus landscaping. Additionally, the position participates in litter and debris collection programs, including emptying trash receptacles and replacing plastic liners. The Groundskeeper I operates a State Vehicle and participates in the preventative maintenance program on departmental equipment. Other related work as assigned is also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

• Completion of the 9th Grade Education.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License.
• This position requires a criminal background check and post offer Health Assessment and Hearing Evaluation.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
