About The Position

The Grounds Worker will be responsible for providing a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient environment for students to learn and develop.

Requirements

Must have Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Training.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must possess ability to work with and communicate with students, staff, and vendors
Providing customer service.
Following directions and meeting standards.
Providing attention to detail in assignments.
Comprehending reference books and manuals.
Organizing and maintaining supplies.
Occupational hazards and applicable safety principles and practices.
Uses and properties of the following supplies and equipment: Mowers, Trimmers, Small power equipment, Heavy equipment, General grounds hand tools
Willingness to be an integral member of a successful team.
Dedication to provide the highest level of service.
Adherence to policies and procedures.
Resourceful and adaptable.
Routine work with little planning needed.
Periodic stress due to deadlines and multiple schedules.
Complete work with minimum contact with others.

Responsibilities

Keeps assigned grounds, sidewalks, and driveways neat and clean during working hours
Sweeps, mows, trims, and weeds daily.
Maintains a daily inventory of supplies and reports the need for replacements.
Reports safety hazards and the need for major and minor repairs.
Performs safety measures and secures the area.
Set-up and clean-up for outside sports activities.
Must use own initiative and judgment in performing job.
Performs other related duties as assigned
