About The Position

Canterbury Court is a retirement community located in the heart of Buckhead, where we put our hearts into creating a true community. As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, we reinvest revenue into our community for the benefit of residents and staff. We are Atlanta’s first Life Plan Community (LPC) – what some call a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). Canterbury Court is looking for a Grounds Technician to join our family. This is a full-time position located in the Environmental Services division of our Life Plan Community (LPC). The Grounds Technician must have a sincere desire to serve older adults in a quality continuing care setting and must strive to provide excellence and consistency in facilities. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions
Good mental and physical condition and able to perform essential functions

Responsibilities

Support routine groundskeeping work.
Keep building exteriors, sidewalks, and surrounding grounds free of trash and debris.
Empty trash cans and dog waste stations.
Wash windows and maintain exterior cleanliness.
Perform pressure washing.
Operate motorized vacuum in garages, sidewalks, and parking lots
Maintain safe and organized work habits.
Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures.
Assist with emergency evacuation of residents when necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services.
Participate in special projects assigned by the Director of Environmental Services.
