About The Position

FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to lead and oversee maintenance of roadways, parking areas, and campus grounds within the Facilities Department. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks in an outdoor and operational environment and have the opportunity to display leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to support safe and efficient Smart Manufacturing operations. The Grounds Supervisor will manage year-round grounds maintenance programs with a strong focus on snow and ice removal operations, supervise staff, coordinate resources, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure all outdoor areas remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grounds maintenance, roadway repair, or facilities management.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience required.
  • Proven experience managing snow and ice removal operations in a northern climate.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency with grounds equipment, snow removal equipment, and heavy machinery.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices for grounds maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities during high-demand and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and supervise groundskeepers, maintenance workers, and snow removal staff.
  • Schedule and assign daily, seasonal, and emergency tasks to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of work.
  • Oversee maintenance of plant roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, and outdoor facilities.
  • Ensure grounds are maintained through mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, seasonal cleanups, and debris removal.
  • Coordinate minor roadway, surface, and pavement repairs to maintain safe and accessible conditions.
  • Inspect, monitor, and support maintenance of irrigation systems, identifying leaks, clogs, and mechanical issues.
  • Optimize irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, seasonal needs, and plant health.
  • Develop and implement snow removal and ice control plans for winter operations.
  • Supervise plowing, salting, sanding, snow hauling, and ice mitigation activities.
  • Monitor weather forecasts and proactively prepare staffing, equipment, and materials for snow or ice events.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements for all outdoor maintenance activities.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, maintenance activities, and snow removal operations.
  • Develop and manage the grounds maintenance budget, including labor, materials, fuel, and equipment.
  • Track expenses, fuel usage, and equipment utilization to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align maintenance schedules and address site-specific needs.
  • Communicate maintenance plans, snow response updates, and safety alerts to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all grounds-related activities.
  • Respond to emergencies including severe weather events, equipment failures, or safety incidents.
  • Maintain on-call availability during winter months and other critical operational periods.
  • Other duties as assigned.
