About The Position

As the Grounds Person, you will help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our resort. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work, takes pride in keeping spaces clean and orderly, and can work independently with minimal supervision. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to perform physical outdoor labor in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Basic experience with tools, equipment, or maintenance tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Previous groundskeeping, maintenance, landscaping, or custodial experience.
  • Experience operating power equipment (leaf blowers, pressure washers, etc.).
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Operate pickup trucks, golf carts, and other light equipment to complete daily duties.
  • Empty all outdoor trash cans, including pool areas and community spaces.
  • Pick up debris along curbs, walkways, and throughout the resort grounds.
  • Maintain walkways, roads, and common paths through regular leaf blowing and debris removal.
  • Power wash walkways, patios, and other outdoor surfaces as needed.
  • Clean and maintain BBQ grills to ensure they are safe and ready for guest use.
  • Rake and level the sand volleyball court to maintain an even and safe playing surface.
  • Clean gutters and downspouts to ensure proper drainage and prevent buildup.
  • Perform ice and snow removal on walkways, roads, and entryways to maintain safe access during winter months.
  • Monitor outdoor areas for potential hazards and address or report them promptly.
  • Paint curbs, parking spaces, and other designated areas to maintain clear marking and attractive appearance.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
