Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of general experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, kneeling, and overhead lifting
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, rain, and snow
- Strong work ethic
- Dependability
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Mowing and trimming grass and vegetation
- Trimming shrubs, hedges, and trees
- Edging along pavements, curbs, and sidewalks
- Maintaining landscaped areas and flower beds through weeding, planting, mulching, and watering
- Cleaning outdoor areas
- Removing debris and trash
- Maintaining playground sand areas
- Performing routine grounds policing
- Light facility support tasks such as minor cleanups, assisting with renovations, and setting up, relocating, or removing security fencing for on-site and off-site projects
