Forest Lake Estates Grounds / Maintenance Technician
About The Position
ELS is hiring a Grounds / Maintenance Technician for Forest Lake Estates in Zephyrhills, Florida. The technician performs a range of maintenance duties requiring technical labor skills, including light plumbing and carpentry, appliance repairs, painting, and groundskeeping. Working as part of a team, the technician helps ensure the community meets ELS’s quality maintenance standards. The role includes maintaining amenity spaces and grounds, working with management and staff on daily assignments and special projects, reporting and repairing maintenance concerns, and monitoring supplies. The technician must be able to move heavy objects and may drive maintenance trucks around the property. The position also requires availability for after-hours emergency on-call duties.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
- Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure amenity spaces are well maintained and working properly.
- Maintain grounds and keep them free from trash and debris.
- Work with management to maintain a clean, safe, and appealing property.
- Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily assignments.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with management and staff and collaborate on special maintenance projects.
- Report maintenance concerns to management and perform repairs.
- Move heavy objects and, as needed, drive maintenance trucks to locations on the property.
- Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
