About The Position

This position maintains the roads and grounds at Gila Bend AFAF. The role involves picking up trash and debris, operating gas-powered equipment for lawn and tree maintenance, weed removal, and performing minor repairs to roads, walkways, and driveways. Additionally, the position requires repairing and replacing sprinklers and irrigation lines.

Requirements

• High school diploma and or equivalent
• At least one plus years of prior grounds maintenance experience
• Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and or debris daily around Gila Bend AFAF.
• Operate gas powered equipment to maintain lawns, trees, Palm trees, and brush (riding lawn mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, chain saws, edger’s, and etc.).
• Remove weeds from rock and plant areas on base.
• Patch asphalt roads, crack seal roads, and perform minor repairs to concrete walkways and drive ways.
• Repair and or replace sprinklers, and PVC irrigation lines.
• Other duties as assigned.
