About The Position
Under general supervision, is responsible for maintenance, installations, and repairs of grounds, equipment, and buildings. Follows all safety regulations and requirements, in providing a safe, functional and pleasing campus, and learning environment.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or G.E.D.
- Must be able to obtain the appropriate license governing pesticide and fertilize application from the Ohio Department of Agriculture within one (1) year
- Must have successfully completed the Core Steps as outlined in Article 29.08 of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement as documented and verified by the Grounds Foreman
- Must pass Toledo Public Schools related skills and physical standards testing
- Must possess valid driver’s license and meet Toledo Public Schools vehicle fleet insurance criteria and maintain the same
- Must have one (1) year of grounds maintenance experience in the operation of tractors, trucks, large power mowers, tree removal and snow removal equipment. i.e. snow blower, chain saw, commercial chipper
- Must be keyboard and software proficient and willing to learn those software programs that are specific to the desk
