About The Position

The Nascence Group is seeking a Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal Supervisor who will be responsible for managing and supervising contractor personnel performing landscaping, grounds maintenance, snow removal, ice control, and related exterior facility services at the Swanton Border Patrol Station. The supervisor will coordinate schedules, personnel, equipment, safety, quality control, and communications with the Government's authorized representative.

Requirements

  • At least two years of recent management or supervisory experience obtained within the preceding five years.
  • Experience supervising facility services, grounds maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, or similar operations.
  • Experience managing work at facilities comparable in size and operational complexity.
  • Completed supervisory training courses, or equivalent experience accepted by the Contracting Officer.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to manage personnel, schedules, equipment, safety, quality control, and contract documentation.
  • Ability to respond during early-morning, overnight, weekend, and extended snow events.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise grounds-maintenance and snow-removal personnel.
  • Prepare employee work schedules and assign daily tasks.
  • Inspect work for compliance with the SOW and task-frequency schedule.
  • Coordinate contractor activities with the COR or Government Authorized Representative.
  • Manage mowing, edging, trimming, weed removal, leaf removal, grounds cleaning, watering, and parking-lot maintenance.
  • Monitor weather and initiate snow-removal operations when accumulation reaches two inches.
  • Ensure entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, roadways, gates, fuel areas, and access points remain clear of snow and ice.
  • Prepare and maintain the annual snow-removal plan.
  • Maintain snow-event equipment and labor logs.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, insured, registered, and safely operated.
  • Enforce CBP access, identification, safety, conduct, and security requirements.
  • Conduct management inspections at least weekly.
  • Correct performance deficiencies and report accidents, property damage, lost credentials, and personnel changes.
  • Ensure all required materials, equipment, licenses, permits, and Safety Data Sheets are available.
