About The Position

The Grounds & Landscape Technician is responsible for the upkeep, appearance, and overall condition of assigned exterior grounds across Kohler Company properties. This role involves skilled hands-on landscape work, including mowing, trimming, pruning, plant care, turf management and installation, irrigation maintenance and repair, seasonal tasks, and assisting with holiday lighting installation while upholding high landscape standards, supporting an exceptional guest experience, and contributing to the aesthetic and environmental goals of Kohler Company.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or related outdoor maintenance work.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain WDATCP Category 3.0 Pesticide Applicator's certification within six months.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including periodic weekends, holiday lighting installation periods, and winter snow removal availability.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Landscape Management, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience operating commercial landscape equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles preferred.
  • Experience with turf care, turf installation, plant maintenance, seasonal landscape installation, irrigation system maintenance and repair, or holiday lighting setup preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, mulching, turf care, and seasonal landscape cleanups.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of lawns, planting beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscape features across Kohler properties.
  • Inspect, monitor, and help maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient performance and proper water distribution.
  • Assist with seasonal landscape projects, property enhancements, floral displays, and holiday lighting installation, maintenance, and removal.
  • Operate landscape equipment and tools safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to seasonal team members, promoting safe work practices and high-quality workmanship.
  • Support year-round grounds operations, including snow and ice removal activities during the winter season.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and operational needs.
