About The Position

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of the apartment complex grounds. This includes landscaping, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks to ensure a pleasant and well-maintained environment for residents.

Requirements

Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques and equipment.
Ability to operate lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and other landscaping equipment.
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and attractive property.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Sweep and clean sidewalks, parking lots, and other common areas.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Pick up litter and debris throughout the property.
Clean and maintain common area patios, decks, and balconies.
Clean and maintain pool area (if applicable), including cleaning the pool deck, emptying trash, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Perform minor repairs to fences, benches, and other outdoor fixtures.
Replace light bulbs in outdoor fixtures.
Maintain and clean outdoor grills and picnic areas.
Shovel snow and apply de-icer to walkways and parking lots during winter months.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
Assist with resident events and activities as needed.
Maintain storage areas for tools and equipment.
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
