About The Position

This position is open until 8/31/2026 or until filled. Pay: $21/hr. A few miles away from the spectacular Rocky Mountain National Park, and in the heart of Estes Park, stands the iconic Stanley Hotel. The allegedly haunted property, built by F.O Stanley, is known for its representation in the 1980 movie, The Shining, and its recognition on the National Register of historical places. Steeped in history, and made up of several buildings, a hedge maze, restaurants and extensive grounds, The Stanley is THE place to be in Estes Park.

Requirements

No formal education needed.
Prior janitorial/ custodial experience desirable.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Ability to meet standards of appearance.
Can communicate well with guests.
Minimal speech communication skills to utilize alternate communication.
Minimal literacy necessary; can utilize alternate training tools.
Ability to assess required reaction to meet standards.
Ability to communicate with guests and housekeepers and respond to requests and questions.
Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position.
Climbing stairs -approximately 40 steps 20% of 40 hour week.
Must be able to lift/ carry 50lbs throughout entire shift.
No driving required.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all corridors, public areas, and parking lots in accordance with all housekeeping procedures/ standards and safety & security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.
Clean & care for buildings, facilities, and exterior of property to ensure they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner.
Check landscaping, mulch beds, lawn, for cigarette butts, trash, and debris.
Sweep all walkways and ensure any trash, debris, cobwebs, etc. are removed from exterior areas of buildings.
Notify management of any repairs needed (lighting, public areas, parking lot, etc.)
Empty all exterior waste baskets and keep receptacles clean
Sweep walkways and parking lot as needed to ensure clean and safe areas.
Use carpet cleaner, floor scrubber, power washer, and any other assigned equipment to safely clean interior floors, as well as the exterior building and walkways.
Attend safety meetings & other related meetings.
Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
