About The Position

Highland Property Management, Inc. is seeking a Grounds Keeper in Longmont, Colorado. The role maintains the grounds of an apartment community, including mowing, weeding, lawn care, and winter snow removal. It also assists with unit turns, preparing apartments for re-rental, including cleaning. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires safe equipment use, compliance with safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements, and professional conduct around residents and coworkers.

Requirements

At least 2 years of groundskeeping experience or equivalent.
At least 2 years of direct customer service experience with residential or other clients.
Professionalism with coworkers and residents while working in and around an apartment complex.
Strict adherence to confidentiality policies and residents’ rights regulations, as well as courtesy.
Consent to and pass a background check and drug test.
Spirited initiative and resourcefulness; an entrepreneurial approach; ability to remove barriers; results focus; and accountability.
Willingness and ability to perform physical work involving bending, kneeling, awkward positions, and confined spaces.
Valid driver’s license and insurability for company vehicles.
Standard vision, with or without corrective eyewear, and standard hearing, with or without a hearing aid.

Responsibilities

Mow, weed, and care for lawns and other grounds.
Remove snow during winter.
Assist with unit turns and prepare apartments for re-rental, including cleaning.
Safely operate groundskeeping equipment and hand tools as needed.
Follow safety practices and use the personal protective devices required for each task.
Perform other duties as assigned.
