•Onsite

About The Position

The Grounds Event Assistant is responsible for providing support to outdoor campus events. This employee will report directly to the Grounds Event Supervisor and work alongside students as well as other BYU staff employees. This position is not a fixed eight-to-five schedule, as it revolves around campus events including football games and snow removal. As this is an event-dependent job, work hours will fluctuate depending on campus events. This is a physically demanding position, and a medical exam is required prior to employment to ensure the selected applicant is healthy enough to perform the work required. The employee may be asked to attend meetings in place of the Grounds Event Supervisor with campus shops, schools, and departments to review major events, coordinate schedules, and work with the group representatives to facilitate successful event completion. The Grounds Event Assistant will also assist with storage and use of Grounds Events’ equipment as well as participate in snow removal when needed.
