About The Position

Applications are now open for a motivated, self-starter to join the team at James Sheahan Catholic High School, Orange as the new Grounds and Maintenance Officer. This is a Permanent Part Time Position, 40 hours per fortnight, commencing 24 August 2026. The salary ranges from $32.20 - $37.84 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. The role involves ensuring the school grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard, contributing to a safe and nurturing environment for students.

Requirements

• Ability to work without supervision and to a deadline.
• Compliance with WHS regulations.
• Confidence and skill in using equipment/tool operation.
• Good team, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Current WWCC (Working with Children Check).
• Current driver’s licence.
• Physical capacity for heavy lifting.

Nice To Haves

• LR/MR/HR driver’s licence.
• Willingness to support and provide assistance where necessary.
