About The Position

Applications are now open for a motivated, self-starter to join the team at James Sheahan Catholic High School, Orange as the new Grounds and Maintenance Officer. This is a Permanent Part Time Position, working 45 hours per fortnight. The role involves ensuring the grounds and maintenance of the school are kept to a high standard, contributing to a safe and nurturing environment for students.

Requirements

• Excellent manual and equipment / tool operational and maintenance experience
• Experience in building and ground maintenance
• Have a current WWCC
• Have a current driver’s licence
• Heavy lifting essential
• Highly organised with attention to detail
• Keen interest in gardening and grounds
• Willingness to support and provide assistance where necessary

Nice To Haves

• Experience in livestock and running a farm
• LR/MR/HR licence

Responsibilities

• Work without supervision and to a deadline
• Comply with WHS regulations
• Building and ground maintenance
• Livestock and running a farm (an advantage)
• Heavy lifting essential; lift and move furniture, equipment and supplies (this is on occasion and sometimes required to be done up and down stairs)
• Maintain cleanliness of workplace / surroundings
• Support and provide assistance where necessary
