About The Position

Spruce Lake Ministries is a Christian retreat center located in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania, that provides lodging, meeting spaces, and meals for various groups. They also host summer camps, programmatic retreats, and outdoor education programs. The Seasonal Facility & Grounds Assistant (SFGA) will assist with routine and seasonal grounds maintenance, handle routine and emergency maintenance issues, and collaborate with other departments. The role involves participating in various facility team tasks and projects during the summer season. They should be responsible, industrious, hospitable, and enthusiastic, conducting themselves in a manner above reproach. Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, are also required.

• Flexible schedule to include evening and weekend rotations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on uneven terrain, lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, shoulders and to bend, kneel and stretch.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass FBI Criminal Background fingerprint clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance and PA Criminal History Clearance.
