About The Position
The Groundhand assists field operations by preparing work areas, handling materials and tools, supporting equipment operators, and maintaining a safe and organized job site.
Requirements
- Ability to operate basic hand and power tools as instructed.
- Ability to follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and crew members regarding work assignments and safety concerns.
Responsibilities
- Assist equipment operators, drivers, and field crews with daily operations.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain work areas before, during, and after operations.
- Assist with traffic control, flagging, and directing vehicles or equipment when required.
- Operate basic hand and power tools as instructed.
- Help with digging, grading, cleanup, installation, and general labor activities.
- Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Communicate with supervisors and crew members regarding work assignments and safety concerns.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
