The Ground Systems Engineer performs verification and testing of ground systems. The role requires an active Top Secret security clearance and at least 15 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited school is required; a technical master's degree counts as two years of experience and a technical Ph.D. counts as four years. The position requires U.S. citizenship due to facility security requirements and access to federal facilities. Candidates must be able to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, including testing for marijuana use, and must have a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at hire. Preferred experience includes writing ground-system requirements and interface control documents (ICDs), developing and executing system test plans and procedures, and working with systems engineering teams using a scaled agile development process.
