About The Position

Cimarron is seeking a Senior-Level Ground Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of first-of-kind space vehicles, ground systems, and missions. The programs support a range of predominantly classified platforms and technologies. As a member of an engineering design team, the engineer will collaborate with system architects, Concept of Operations (ConOps) developers, fault and autonomy designers, and engineers across systems, hardware, software, power, payload, thermal, communications, and test disciplines. Development timelines are aggressive, and the role involves solving previously unsolved problems in minimally defined design spaces. The position is expected to be 100% onsite in El Segundo, Seal Beach, or Los Angeles, California. The engineer applies interdisciplinary, collaborative methods to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced systems of systems and system solutions. The role evaluates customer and operational needs, defines system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, ensures interface compatibility, and analyzes system architectures. It also supports requirements management, risk and opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes. Cimarron describes itself as a global solutions company focused on customer-driven requirements. It emphasizes employee recognition, competitive salaries, and benefits, and states that it is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
