Requirements

  • Be at least 25 years of age.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft suite of products including Office 365, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, delivered with tact and professionalism in both languages.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Maintain flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as operational requirements dictate.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of Ground Support Equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective action.
  • Repair and maintain equipment including, but not limited to: Ground power units (GPUs), Aircraft air-start units, Baggage tractors and belt loaders, Tow tractors and tugs, Ground service vehicles, Passenger stairs and other boarding equipment, Lavatory and potable water servicing equipment, Deicing equipment, where applicable, Generators and other powered GSE, Other motorized and non-motorized ground support equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, company procedures, and established maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct inspections to identify worn, damaged, defective, or unsafe components and remove equipment from service when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, and other mechanical components.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, meters, hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment necessary to perform repairs.
  • Perform equipment adjustments, component replacement, fluid changes, lubrication, battery maintenance, and other routine servicing.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and operational maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Travel to Contour locations and other assigned sites to perform GSE maintenance, repairs, inspections, equipment recovery, and other technical support.
  • Assist with the deployment, relocation, commissioning, and return-to-service of GSE at Contour stations.
  • Support station personnel with equipment troubleshooting and provide guidance regarding proper equipment use and basic maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection records, repair documentation, parts usage, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are properly documented in the applicable company maintenance tracking system or other designated records.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of commonly used tools, parts, supplies, and consumables necessary to perform assigned work.
  • Identify parts and materials required for repairs and communicate parts requirements to appropriate management personnel.
  • Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, vehicles, and other property in good working condition.
  • Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, contractors, and station personnel when specialized repairs or services are required.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable company policies, safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Properly handle, store, and dispose of oils, fuels, chemicals, batteries, and other hazardous materials in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Immediately report unsafe equipment conditions, accidents, injuries, property damage, or other safety concerns to management.
  • Assist with emergency or after-hours maintenance situations when operational needs require.
  • Maintain flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as operational requirements dictate.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
