About The Position

Lockheed Martin Operations is looking for a dynamic and industrious Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Director. As the GSE Director, you will be charged with standing up and leading a multi-functional workforce supporting the enterprise programs with Mechanical and Electrical Ground Support Equipment and associated Software solutions. This involves managing all aspects of GSE from proposal through engineering and on to delivery and operations support. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of what it takes to support the manufacturing, assembly, testing, transportation, and handling of our LM Space Products. The GSE Director will be responsible for strategy, staffing, execution and affordability for all Ground Support Equipment across LM Space including ensuring strong ties between E&T, Operations, Ignite and the Line of Business Programs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of highly effective leadership experience with a proven ability to manage through complex technical and programmatic environments.
  • Project and/or Program management / leadership experience with demonstrated ability to meet cost, schedule and technical objectives.
  • Experience with Ground Support Equipment, ATLO (Assembly, Test, & Launch Operations) and/or Production Operations.
  • Experience supporting proposals including developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and staffing projections.
  • Experience interfacing with company executives, customers and suppliers.
  • Experience as a leader of leaders.
  • Willingness/Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance; US Citizenship Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven track record of successfully interacting with cross functional teams.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • Experience in engineering project management including engineering release, cost, and schedule tracking such as Windchill, ePDM, CREO.
  • Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts.
  • Active or Current TS/SCI clearance.
