This role is for an experienced Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) professional to join the West Seneca team. The company is looking for a motivated individual to support and grow the GPR service line. Initially, the role will involve supporting both GPR and broader Mechanical Integrity field activities. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) experience required
  • Experience with utility locating, concrete scanning, subsurface investigations, or related services strongly preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret field data and drawings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a motor vehicle for field testing and inspections
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client project sites locally on a regular basis and nationally up to 20% of the time
  • Ability to pass a drug screening, background check, and vision test
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs, standing for extended periods, working outdoors in varying conditions, and wearing required PPE including respirators

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Mechanical Integrity Inspection, NDE, construction inspection, or related industrial field services is a plus
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction technology, or related technical discipline preferred
  • experience with reporting or CAD software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert (SME) for GPR services
  • Perform Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) surveys for concrete scanning, utility locating, structural investigations, and subsurface evaluations
  • Coordinate all phases of GPR jobs from initial quote preparation through to final completion, including defining and detailing the full scope of work.
  • Interpret and document GPR findings and communicate results clearly to customers and project teams
  • Communicate with customers regarding project setup, scheduling, site conditions, and findings
  • Build relationships that support repeat business and service expansion
  • Assist with field inspection and testing services related to Mechanical Integrity projects as needed
  • Support non-destructive examination (NDE) and related field services using company-certified methods
  • Prepare accurate field documentation, sketches, reports, and project deliverables
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, utility plans, and Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) when applicable
  • Utilize software and field technology to document findings and generate reports
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, and follow all health and safety practices
  • Perform routine maintenance and care of GPR and field-testing equipment
  • Support additional Mechanical Integrity and inspection-related activities as business needs evolve
