About The Position

American Heritage Schools is seeking Ground Maintenance Technicians for its Broward Campus. The role is responsible for maintaining the school campus grounds to ensure they are orderly, healthy, visually appealing, and safe.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Self-motivated
Familiarity with sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment
Knowledge of gardening techniques and products such as fertilizers and pesticides

Nice To Haves

Landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns
Weed and mulch landscape beds
Trim hedges, shrubs, and small trees
Remove dead, damaged, or unwanted trees
Plant flowers, trees, and shrubs
Water lawns, landscapes, and gardens
Monitor and maintain plant health
Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment
Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering outdoor furniture with tarps, tidying down unsecured items, etc.
Installing or maintaining sprinkler and irrigation systems
