Ground Maintenance Crew Member
About The Position
Green View has been serving Central Illinois since 1955, a family-owned landscape design, installation, and maintenance company with locations across Peoria, Bloomington, Springfield, and Champaign. Three generations of the Hoerr family have built this company on doing great work and treating people right. We take pride in our crews and in the properties we maintain. As a Grounds Maintenance Crew Member, you will be responsible for maintaining the landscaping of residential and commercial properties. Work includes mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, planting, and more. Requirements
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and takes quality seriously
- Valid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to lift 50 to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Available for snow operations as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field is preferred, and we are willing to train the right person
Responsibilities
- Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, blowing, pruning, and weed control
- Operate zero-turn, ride-on, stand-on, and push mowers, string trimmers, blowers, edgers, and hedge trimmers
- Create spring annual plant and flower displays
- Track materials and labor usage accurately
- Work independently or as part of a crew for efficient project completion
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Support snow and ice removal during the off-season
