About The Position
Thornton’s Tree Service is a reputable provider of professional tree care solutions throughout West Texas. With a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our crew as Ground Hands. This position entails working in environments that may be loud, dirty, and subject to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, or dry conditions.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- No parole or probation reporting.
- Consistency and punctuality are essential; candidates must demonstrate a reliable attendance record.
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively with team members are highly valued.
- Physical stamina, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
Responsibilities
- Supporting tree crew leads by performing various tasks, including dragging limbs, chipping limbs, raking, and operating blowers.
- Utilizing power equipment such as mini skid loaders and running the chipper.
- Maintaining equipment by filling up saws and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Splitting wood at our firewood lot during slower periods.
- Driving a support truck and moving equipment on a trailer from site to site.
