About The Position

The Ground Control Technician position is a permanent role (CODE IN26-10) located in Nunavik. The normal work schedule involves a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest. The deadline to apply is July 29th, 2026.

Requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in mining technique or a bachelor's degree in mining engineering, a minimum of 1 year of experience related to the job or equivalent; exploitation or geology profile
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in similar position or equivalent
• Open pit and underground mine experience
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Deswik
• Communication skills (reports, presentations, etc.)
• Valid driver's license and general explosives license are required
• FMTM modules (1-2-3-4-5-7)

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of underground and open pit activities
• Collect geotechnical data in the mines
• Perform quality control on all installations related to ground stability
• Follow up daily the ground control log for all mines
• Prepare ground support or rehabilitation plans under the supervision of the ground control engineer
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and company policies
• Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by his supervisor
