About The Position

Gunstock Mountain Resort is seeking Grooming Operators for the winter season. This role is crucial for maintaining high-quality snow surfaces across the resort, ensuring all grooming assignments are completed efficiently and with a focus on both surface quality and slope safety.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a grooming machine.
• Proficient knowledge of slope maintenance.
• Experience with blade and grading work.
• Working knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines and hydraulic systems.
• Required to move snowmaking and grooming parts, equipment, and materials weighing up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to work in variable outdoor winter weather conditions.
• Regularly subjected to work near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions with frequent exposure to cold, wet conditions.

Responsibilities

• Daily grooming of assigned areas including slopes, base area, terrain parks, Nordic trails, and the tubing park.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and inspections.
• On-hill transport of mountain operations equipment.
