Requirements

• Professional grooming experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to safely manage large or nervous dogs.
• Ability to work in a physically active environment with heat, cold, water, and noise.
• Proven experience grooming a wide range of breeds and coat types.
• Time management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Customer-first mindset.
• Familiarity with pet behavior, stress signals, and safe handling practices.
• Clear communication skills with clients, teammates, and pets.
• Reliability.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excitement to keep learning.
• Love for animals and treating each one like your own.
• Experience grooming 8-10 dogs per day, with a bather if available.

Responsibilities

• Snip, shape, and style pets based on owner preferences or breed standards.
• Trim nails, clean ears, brush teeth, and tidy up the tail end.
• Bathe dogs or work with bathers to prep pets for grooming.
• Chat with pet parents about grooming needs, coat care, and trends.
• Keep the grooming station neat, tools sharp, and maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Assist with front desk tasks when pets are ready for pickup.
• Provide a calm, kind, and safe experience for every animal.
• Represent Destination Pet’s values of compassion, quality, and community.
