The Pet Stylist provides professional grooming services to customers’ pets, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning. The role prioritizes the safety, comfort, and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality customer service to pet parents. Groomers evaluate each pet’s coat, skin condition, temperament, and individual needs, and follow pet-parent instructions, breed standards, and company policies. They maintain grooming tools and a clean, sanitary salon, educate pet parents about grooming maintenance and at-home care, and may train and support entry-level trainees when a Grooming Salon Leader is absent. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Grooming Salon Leader, Solutions Manager, or Store General Manager. The role is primarily conducted indoors in a grooming salon. It involves frequent direct contact with pet parents and dogs, as well as interaction with other salon partners. The environment may be noisy and wet. Groomers may need to bend, kneel, lift up to 30 pounds, stand for long periods, and use a two-step ladder or other support tools for cleaning and maintenance. The schedule may require weekends, evenings, and holidays.
