Under the supervision of the Character Supervisor and Groom Lead/Supervisor, the Groom artist provides a hair description of production Assets. The production of these hair descriptions is done in accordance with the internal technical workflow and the artistic vision established on the project. This role is not currently active but is being shared as an expression of interest, with anticipated new positions opening in the coming weeks. The Groom Artist will be required to groom, setup and (depending on the production's needs) shade the hair of assets based on concept art and model sheets provided. They will create hair effects on 3D animated characters, animals, and props, ensuring technical compliance with the production pipeline and workflow. The role involves developing tools for the department, solving problems creatively, and collaborating with modeling, rigging, and surfacing teams to meet technical requirements. The artist must meet deadlines, execute corrections, organize workload, prepare presentations for approval, communicate effectively, and maintain a good team dynamic.
