About The Position

The Grocery Supervisor at PAY-LESS is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and maintaining efficient and effective store operations. This role involves managing staff, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment.
  • Proven track record of supervising a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience in inventory management and stock control.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the grocery department team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of products.
  • Ensure the grocery department is clean, organized, and visually appealing to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate promotions, sales events, and merchandising strategies.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the grocery department.
  • Prepare and manage department budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to promote professional development and career growth.
