As a Grocery Store Associate, you will assist customers, prepare sandwiches and food items, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, maintain product displays, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for every guest.

Requirements

Previous retail, deli, food service, cashier, or customer service experience preferred.
Experience operating a POS system is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, and stocking of merchandise.
Ability to work in refrigerated and food preparation areas.

Responsibilities

Prepare fresh sandwiches according to customer preferences.
Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
Operate the cash register and POS system accurately and efficiently.
Process customer purchases and payments.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with grocery items and local products.
Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are low.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store and deli area.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Answer customer questions and make recommendations on products and local specialties.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
