About The Position

KJ’s Market is hiring a full-time Grocery Stocker to stock and maintain grocery products, keep sales-floor and backroom areas clean and organized, and support guests and store operations. The position includes receiving and verifying deliveries, managing inventory and product rotation, assisting with front-end duties as needed, and ordering products when assigned by management. The role requires frequent lifting and extended periods of bending, kneeling, standing, and moving stock carts or operating a pallet jack.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 40 pounds constantly and 60 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Knowledge of grocery operations.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest-service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and hosts.
Stock, rotate, and condition grocery products on shelves according to company standards and productivity guidelines.
Maintain a neat and safe work area for guests.
Keep backstock organized and inventoried in the backroom.
Minimize damage and shrink through inventory control, product rotation, and proper product handling.
Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise deliveries.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom.
Communicate dairy and frozen-food temperature problems to a supervisor.
Perform front-end duties as needed to maintain the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Order aisle products when assigned by management.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
