About The Position
General Trading is seeking an experienced Grocery Retail Sales Counselor to cover the New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania territories. This role serves as a liaison between assigned stores and General Trading, ensuring consistent adherence to company expectations for ordering across Grocery, Dairy, and Frozen departments exclusively from General Trading. The position involves regular store visits and providing support for new store openings and major remodels.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of Retail Sales experience
- Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to store owners in the opening of departments product line in new stores and in major remodeling of existing departments
- Act as a liaison between General Trading and Customers
- Introduce, instruct and follow up on all Programs and Apps
- Promote buying Grocery, Dairy and Frozen exclusively through General Trading
- Review all applicable Sales Reports with stores
- Develop strong relationships throughout the store
- Inform accounts of competitive activity
- Develop strong relationships with store managers and staff
- Perform physical work in connection with space allocation
