The Grocery Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Grocery department operations. In the absence of store management, they may assume complete responsibility for total store operations. This role focuses on promoting excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer-focused behavior with associates, managing inventory levels, maintaining backroom organization, and overseeing shelf replenishment to ensure product availability. The manager is also responsible for scheduling, training, coaching, and evaluating all Grocery associates, as well as developing and implementing merchandising plans and ensuring the smooth function of the department and store through cooperation and continuous improvement. They are responsible for general sanitation, controlling expenses, minimizing damages and shrink, and ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
