About The Position

The Grocery Manager oversees the daily operations of the Grocery Department, driving sales and profitability while maintaining strong in-stock conditions, accurate pricing, and high merchandising standards. This is a hands-on, fast-paced leadership role focused on department readiness, operational excellence, and a reliable customer shopping experience. The manager provides customer service, leads merchandising and promotional execution, manages ordering and inventory, monitors shrink, and ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards. The role also includes hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and developing grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Travel is not required.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily Grocery Department operations, focusing on customer service, sales, and department readiness.
Provide friendly, prompt, knowledgeable customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns.
Keep shelves, displays, and aisles clean, stocked, front-faced, and merchandised to company standards.
Execute planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising.
Manage ordering, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization.
Monitor shrink and implement procedures to reduce waste and loss.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards.
Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment.
Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to drive results.
Comply with company safety policies and the Code of Business Conduct.
