About The Position

Ensure the efficient operation of the grocery department by maintaining optimal inventory levels, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. The vision is to create a well-organized, customer-friendly grocery section that consistently meets sales and profitability targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Requirements

Previous experience in a retail or supermarket environment, preferably in a grocery department.
Experience with inventory management and ordering processes.
Familiarity with various grocery products and their handling requirements.
Understanding of inventory management and ordering processes.
Basic math skills for calculating discounts, percentages, and gross margins.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
Ability to complete reports accurately, including sales reports, inventory counts, and receiving logs.
Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity, accuracy, cleanliness, harmony, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Oversee inventory levels to ensure shelves are well-stocked and products are rotated properly.
Conduct regular stock checks and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishments.
Ensure all grocery products are fresh, properly stored, and displayed according to company standards.
Regularly check for expired or damaged items and remove them from the shelves.
Assist in creating and maintaining staff schedules.
Maintain daily receiving logs and other necessary documentation.
Greet customers, provide prompt and courteous service, and handle special orders and inquiries.
Ensure the department is well-stocked, properly signed, and attractively displayed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized department.
