The Grocery Clerk is responsible for providing service that exceeds the expectations of customers. This includes filling customer orders by obtaining items from shelves, freezers, coolers, bins, tables, or containers, and stocking shelves, dairy cases, and other areas of the department. The clerk must ensure all items in the dairy box are in-code and within their expiration dates, and rotate stock to ensure high quality and fresh merchandise. Responsibilities also include operating a cash register, accurately pricing merchandise, and completing daily price changes before the store opens. The clerk must monitor pull dates on all Grocery merchandise and provide customer service that goes above and beyond, encompassing positive attitudes, respect, and flexibility.
