About The Position

Lunardi’s Markets is seeking warm and friendly individuals who like to interact with customers to provide unmatched customer service for the role of Grocery Clerk. Applicants must be reliable, display a positive attitude, and be able to work in an environment that can at times be very fast paced. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have an eye for detail, enjoy interacting with people, work well as part of a team, take pride in doing a great job, and be willing to grow within the organization. This is a union job with competitive pay and benefits. No experience is required, and on-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
Learn about store products and their general use and location in the store.
Follow proper procedures for customer check out, including fraud prevention and bagging customer’s purchases.
Work with various equipment and tools throughout your shift such as cash registers, box cutters, trash compactors, cardboard balers, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customers and company policies.
Protect the safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers at all times, and reports safety-related accidents and incidents to management immediately.
