About The Position

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Grocery Clerk (Delivery Driver) to join our Grocery team on a part-time basis at our location in Vermilion, AB. Reporting to the Assistant Food Store Manager.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and can provide a satisfactory 5-year standard driver’s abstract.
Can successfully complete required background checks, including a Criminal Record Check, and a pre-employment substance test.
Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines.
Able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching wile staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight and stocking shelves.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
Safely operate the company delivery vehicle for deliveries and pickups.
Complete proper vehicle inspections and all required delivery paperwork.
Load, unload and secure merchandise.
Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking and displaying merchandise.
Operate the Point-of-Sale system to process transactions, perform popcorn-making duties and retrieve carts.
Follow opening and closing procedures.
Follow safety procedures at all times.
Resolve customer issues and answer questions.
Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s vision, mission, values and focus on safety.
Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives.
