Grocery Clerk/Dairy Order Writer
About The Position
Woodlands Market, Marin and San Francisco's premier gourmet grocery store, has an opening for a Grocery Clerk/Dairy Order Writer Superstar! This role involves receiving grocery merchandise, verifying order accuracy, ordering product based on par/movement to minimize shrink, recording shrink/waste, communicating product issues to the Grocery Buyer, organizing back stock, rotating products, pulling out-of-date items, stocking shelves (often in early morning hours), assisting customers, maintaining product levels, restocking, organizing, and assisting with store resets for new products.
Requirements
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent customer service skills (necessary to give employees a consistent level of service when assisting customers).
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to work quickly and safely while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to meet stated job requirements during early morning shifts (usually beginning at 3am).

Responsibilities
- Receive grocery merchandise; verify accuracy and completeness of order
- Order product based on par/movement keeping shrink to a minimum
- Record all shrink/waste as instructed
- Communicate out of stocks or any product issues with Grocery Buyer
- Keep any back stock organized
- Rotate products and pull any out of date products
- Stock shelves with product, usually in very early morning hours.
- Assist customers when needed.
- Maintain product levels, restock and organize as necessary.
- Assist with resets to accommodate new products frequently.
