About The Position

Operates a tugger to travel through the dry warehouse selecting full case grocery items. Receives customer order from a designated area. Enters order task numbers in the computer system. Drives a tugger with three buggies throughout the warehouse. Reads the computer label to determine the product to be selected. As items are selected, they are labeled and placed on the buggy. This continues until the order is complete. Completed orders are delivered to the proper line and loading door. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Requirements

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Must be trained and certified on each piece of equipment operated.

Responsibilities

• Performs operations and safety check prior to signing out equipment.
• Documents the pre-operational checklist when signing out equipment.
• Selects and loads orders from pallet onto buggies.
• Transfers items to the loading dock.
• Enters order task numbers in the computer system.
• Drives a tugger with three buggies throughout the warehouse.
• Reads computer labels to determine the product to be selected.
• Labels selected items and places them on the buggy.
• Delivers completed orders to the proper line and loading door.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
